Welcome to the web page of "Miss" Jodi, MCES Kindergarten Teacher!

My real love is teaching KINDERGARTEN! The 2018-2019 school year represents my 26th year in the classroom. I graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and received my Masters of Education Degree from Troy State University-Dothan.

I am the proud mother of two beautiful children, Collier and Caroline. Collier, an eleventh grader, is 17 years old and Caroline, a ninth grader, is 14 years old. They keep me "in the road" with sports and other after school activities! We are blessed to live on our family farm in northwest Miller County.

I am also blessed to have Janell Grant as my paraprofessional. Janell and I work together to ensure that our classroom is filled with learning opportunities that meet and EXCEED state requirements. We believe “Classroom Rules” are important. We believe LEARNING SHOULD BE FUN! We believe success in the classroom comes with good parent/teacher communication.

We ask parents to take time to review their child’s “Daily Folder”--- our way of communicating academic progress and behavior management on a daily basis. We encourage parents to stay in touch through written notes or by scheduling a conference. To schedule a conference, please call the school at 758-4140 or send a note by your child. Conferences may be held on Tuesday – Thursday after school or during my planning period.

Thanks again for visiting my web page!
